What instrumentation really is !

This page might be considered bragging, but I believe that the points listed here are based more on fact than on wishful thinking. Of course, Instrumentation is far from finished, so some of these points are still more smoke than mirror and others are more "mission statement" than "core proficiency". Also, I'm still adding these as they occur to me so there's limited categorization below.

• Instrumentation is a "universal translator" where computer enabled heuristic word selection replaces foreign language learning (or rote memory) skills.
  
• Heuristics are still under development.
• Instrumentation believes that learning a second human language is a valuable life experience anyway.
  
• just go with Spanish

• Instrumentation is an emerging business productivity enhancement tool 
• Provides a 33 bit communication channel
  
• Instant translation with plug-in vocabularies

• Terms will be elected through an extended (64 day) voting period.

• Instrumentation is a global electronic informational exchange protocol designed to reduce bandwidth consumption and increase data entry speed.

• Instrumentation is a pidgin language designed to transmit information with a minimum of (potentially confusing) nuance or ambiguity.

• Instrumentation is a virtual linguistic machine that will translate between languages and operate as a universal Application Programming Interface (API).
  
• The specification of the address space is the whole of the design

• Instrumentation can be used to create an operating system composed of memes.

• Instrumentation is the meta-model, model and API of a universal data base. 
• The meta-model is the arrangement of the trigrams of the I Ching.
• The logical-model is the rules for noun, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, etc

• Thus. it is an object oriented language in data modeling terms
• The events are the subject and object within a sentence.
• events can include 'inanimate things', 'entities', 'activities', etc.
  
• Major predicates are mostly verbs, conjunctions, mathematical and logical terms, etc.
• However. adjectives, adverbs, articles, possessive pronouns, prepositions and nouns with subordinate predicates can then be used to qualify those subjects, objects or major predicates.
• which makes these qualifications the "data elements" of the model
  

• Instrumentation encompasses a conceptually oriented index which employs three axes arranged isometrically according to the normal derivatives of function with respect to being.
• Like a vector with direction, sign and amplitude.
  
• The first axis is Yin or 'passive' or 'internal' Vs. Yang or 'active' or 'external'

• Instrumentation is a mnemonic system which hopes to tie somatic, visual and semiotic tags to a 'concept'. 
• Concepts range from basic objects and feelings to complex but socially common queries and responses.
  
• Somatic for the chording keyboard
• with possible haptic feedback for the blind, etc.
  
• Visual for the glyph
• tied to the somatic by the number of octants and fingers (4 right, 4 left)
• thumbs define levels (2 thumbs -> 2 bits -> levels 0 to 3)
  
• Semiotic for the ontology of the I Ching
• each octant has a corresponding trigram
  

• Instrumentation is an ontology where the eight trigrams of the I Ching augment one another and so form a discrete multidimensional binary array of graduated meanings.
  
• Hopefully 'omni-existentially' or 'socio-geodisically' regular
  
• much testing is needed
• Each of the eight trigrams appears in half of the 256 resultant 'aspects' for a given layer
  

• Instrumentation is an attempt to fit all human language into a straitjacket of eight and a half billion 'terms' with a distribution based on the 'I Ching' and initially containing:
  
• The General Service List: 2884 most common words.
  
• not every word was used
  
• Roget's Thesaurus: top 1000 headwords.
  
• many uncommon but useful words
  
• English as 2nd Language: 1000 most common words.
  
• and other words were added on personal whim
  
• Basic English: a major influence on the Articulation layer
• also the source of the Dog Verbs
  
• Instrumentation needs lots more terms defined
• the Specialization layer is almost completely empty (and it is the biggest one)

• Instrumentation is an attempt to plug a gap in professional and community efforts towards command of, and communication with, individuals and technology within a global venue to:

1.  promote "mutual assured deduction" (or common understanding),
   
2. increase efficient and effective productivity and
   
3. leverage and re-purpose local human and natural (or at least post-industrially renewable) resources worldwide.

Definitions for terms used above:

• 'Professional's include academic, technical and business leaders
• and other people who are actually important
  
• A modern 'community' is a global virtual selection of communicating individuals with connected sociotechnical life styles and a common goal
  
• the 'connected sociotechnical' class loosely approximates the 'middle income' class which existed prior to the dawn of the information age.
  
• "Command and communication" are almost always logistical nightmares in complex efforts
  
• unless military C&C protocols are understood and observed
  (which still may not help with actual disasters such as a war or a competent business rival)
  
• "Individuals and technology" are the current 'figure and ground' of economic reality when approached as an art-form
  
• "Mutual assured deduction" requires a precisely defined vocabulary
• since no external communication channels can ever be safely assumed to exist
  (channels such as body language, cultural referent, idiomatic usage, etc.)
• "Efficient and effective productivity" would reduce waste and time lost by alleviating profitless physical resource transportation.
  
• "Leverage and re-purpose" are cheerful business-oriented terms
  
• they provide a positive undertone to the actual sentence substance
  
• 'Resources' are anything needed for successful monetization or other desired outcomes

• Instrumentation is a blend of modern technology and ancient philosophy with a nice thick layer of crazy to provide an emulsifier and a catalyst.
• Amalgamation of current and future user interfaces
  
• simplification of repeated learning curves
• remote control becomes ubiquitous
  
• Economical feasibility through minimal start-up costs
  
• no one is more surprised than I
• the global economy could use some help
  
• Engineered for mental, physical and social needs
• which fills which, is a judgment call
• but then, everything is actually a judgment call
  

• Instrumentation is a test to see who gets to escape on the big spaceship when that suspicious looking asteroid finally slams into the Earth.

• Instrumentation is an automated-engineered-logical-taxonomic-auxiliary-ideographic language

• Taxonomic using the I-Ching's 'trigrams' as binary categories.
• Auxiliary because it enables global communication without replacing existing languages.
